– Cấu trúc As if/As though đi kèm với động từ nguyên mẫu có to hoặc một cụm giới từ.

Ex: Windy moved his lips as though to smile.

(Windy di chuyển môi của cô ấy như thể là cười)

➔ Cấu trúc As if / As though dùng để diễn tả sự việc ở hiện tại.

Form: S + V (e/es)+… + as if/as though + S +tobe(not)/VQKĐ +…

Ex: She talkes as though she knew where Hung lived.

Cô ấy nói như thể là cô ấy biết Hùng sống ở đâu

➔ Cấu trúc As though dùng để diễn tả sự việc ở quá khứ.

Form: S + V2/ed +…+ as if/as though +…+ S + had (not) + VPII +…

Ex: My sister ate as if /as though she hadn’t eaten during a week.

(Chị gái tôi ăn cứ như thể là chị ấy không được ăn trong suốt một tuần liền)
