1. In spite of, despite

Cấu trúc: IN SPITE OF/ DESPITE + danh từ/cụm danh từ/danh động từ

Ví dụ:

Sau Inspite of, despite là danh từ

+ John’s company is doing extremely well despite the recession.

+ He got the job in spite of his prison record.

+ He was very fast in spite of being terribly overweight.

2. Although , though, even though

Cấu trúc: Although, though, even though + Mệnh đề

+ Though, even though được sự dụng một cách thông thường dân dã hơn so với although, although được sử dụng nhiều trong văn viết. Ví dụ:

Everyone enjoyed the trip to the final although we lost the match

Though it was rainy, we put on our jackets and went for walk
